Shira Levy, NCSP, MAPP and BMORE Thrives founder, is a passionate, strength-based and solution-focused nationally certified school psychologist, registered psychology associate and coach. After a decade of working in schools, Shira relied on her strengths of curiosity and love of learning, continuing her education to focus on meaning, purpose, positive emotion, and what is right with us, as opposed to the traditional psychology of what is wrong with us.
Shira graduated from The University of Pennsylvania’s Master of Applied Positive Psychology program. As a positive psychology practitioner, Shira cares deeply about the well-being of children, adolescents, and adults. She has a passion for tailoring services toward goal attainment, engagement, productivity, improved relationships, and sustainable happiness. Additional mindfulness training from The University of Pennsylvania allows Shira to integrate mindfulness as a mainstay practice throughout her practice. As a parent herself, Shira has a strong interest in helping parents learn about strength-based, positive parenting practices to increase family and child wellbeing, life satisfaction, relationships, and happiness. With youth and adults alike, Shira works with individuals and groups to help them combat anxiety, stress, social skills weaknesses, anger management, and depression, through discovering and capitalizing on strengths to boost happiness. Shira helps clients bring to light positivity, passion, and purpose in life. Her own strengths of love, humor and kindness, present a laid-back and comforting atmosphere for clients.
